Contractor Academy
You are invited to apply to participate in our four-week
Contractor Academy.
Program Enrollment
Contractors enrolled in the Contractor Academy will benefit from the support and guidance offered by technical assistance managers and industry experts. There is no cost to participate, but there is a time investment required. Contractors must possess a current California Contractors State License Board Contractor License.
The Contractor Academy is designed to prepare small business contractors to compete and perform public works sustainable projects within the Metropolitan 6 county service
area and SoCalREN territory.
Seminars
The Metropolitan Water District (MWD) and Emerald Cities Collaborative are presenting this course in collaboration with the Inland Empire Small Business Development Center, and the Business & Employment Resource Center.
Courses include:
• SEMINAR I: Introductions & Overview of MWD and SoCalRen Project Forecast
• SEMINAR II: Bonding, Labor Compliance & PLA
• SEMINAR III: Introduction to Project Delivery Methods
