Pipeline Relining Project
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California

Second Lower Feeder – Reach 2

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is making major improvements to the Second Lower Feeder, a key pipeline in the regional water system that distributes water from the Robert B. Diemer Water Treatment Plant in Yorba Linda to the Palos Verdes Reservoir in Rolling Hills Estates. This project is necessary to ensure that we continue to provide reliable water supplies to our 26 member public agencies serving 19 million people.

The Second Lower Feeder Reach 2 Relining Project will improve approximately 4.5 miles of this pipeline within the cities of Carson and Los Angeles, and unincorporated County of Los Angeles. Construction began in October 2019 and continues through June 2020. Your water supply will not be affected during the project.

The project requires lane closures and parking restrictions at various locations. Traffic may be impacted through the project limits. We recognize that this project takes place in an area with residences, businesses, schools, and commercial properties. We are committed to ensuring that you stay connected to all construction activities in your community.

Segundo Alimentador Inferior - Etapa 2
