I started practicing 20 years ago with the dream of having an office like the one I have today....
I have had the same Mission Statement hanging in my office that I hand typed (on a Typewriter!) almost 20 years ago. It amazes me to read the direction I aimed my practice in when I was a young man.
This is what I wrote:

- Run a practice that runs itself! Referral based practice (patients referring patients)

On a Personal Note...

My wife Lisa and I have raised two great boys, Jacob 14 and Luke 11. Our family life is directed by sports! Both the boys play football and baseball. If I'm not coaching one of them at practice or at our game then I'm in the stands watching the other play with Lisa! Our home is just as crazy as everyone we know. The last few years have been a blur. If we're not getting the kids ready for school we're driving them to or from school or helping with homework or going to a practice or game....constantly on the go!
We try and squeeze work, exercise, friends and vacations in all around the boy's schedule. I don't remember my parents having to hustle around as much as we do? These are the good years because the kids actually still want us around...not for much longer though!!! Lisa and I were just talking about how much free time we'll have on our hands after the boys start driving and I stop coaching. That will just give us plenty of time to worry about where they are, who they're with and will they get home safely...never ends does it??
